Pediatrician and endocrinologist
Finished Grammar School, Pljevlja, then graduated at the Faculty of Medicine, Belgrade.
Specialised in paediatrics at the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care, Belgrade.
Subspecialized in diabetology and endocrinology in 1977, in Zagreb.
Defended doctorial dissertation STUDY CHILD OBESITY AT SCHOOL AGED IN MONTENEGRO in 1991, in Novi Sad.
Received the title of Research Associate in 1983, a Senior Scientific Adviser in 1991 and the same year he received the title of chiefs (primarius).
He was elected a professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Kraljevo, in 1992.
In 1998 becomes the first professor of paediatrics and founder of department for paediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica. He was elected a member of medical Board of MASA (Montenegrin Academy of Science and Arts) in 1990.
A titular member of both Balcan Medical Union and American Endocrinologists Association. Ex president of Yugoslav endocrinologists and president of Montenegrin Doctors Association, etc.
Published 220 professional and scientific papers, 11 monographs and 2 university textbooks. For his self – sacrificing work over the years he has won numerous awards.
At the beginning of his career he worked in Rožaje, and from 1973 mostly in Children's Hospital, Podgorica.
